FOM2004 is hosted by Drexel University, School of Biomedical Engineering, Science and Health Systems. The opening ceremony of FOM2004 is at the Drexel Main Building at Chestnut Street/32nd. The conference location at Sheraton University City Hotel is central on the Philadelphia campus minutes from downtown, located at Chestnut Street/36th. The organizers have arranged for a discount room block available for participants of FOM2004 from April 2-9.

Philadelphia International Airport handles daily a large number of both domestic and international flights. A rail line (R1) departing from terminals A-E connects the airport and city center, operated by SEPTA (Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority), which runs rail and bus services to and within the city. The journey takes about 20 minutes and trains leave every half hour. Day passes are available. However, we recommend the use of a taxi, especially in case of a rainy day, if you arrive late, or if you have luggage that can't be carried easily. Taxis cost from 20 to 25 USD to the downtown area. Philadelphia is also served by Amtrak and 30th Street Station, close to Drexel University, with railroad connections both to New York City and Washington DC.
